Discovering Meaning in Buddhist Traditions

Have you ever wondered about the meaning behind the altar flowers, incense, food offerings, or Onenju(Buddhist beads) you see at the temple?

This study series explores the traditions, customs, and adornments found in Jodo Shinshu temple life from altar decorations to Buddhist rituals and everyday practices. Each session reveals how these forms embody the Buddha’s infinite wisdom and compassion toward each of us, and express our gratitude and reverence.
