1-4 pm Fall Ohigan seminar: Rev. Kurt Rye, Placer Buddhist Church

September 17, 2016 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Free

As Jodo Shinshu followers, we identify ourselves as Buddhists. But what does it mean to be a Buddhist? It can mean to follow the teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha, the histrorical Buddha. It also can mean following the guidance of Amida Buddha. How many Buddhas are there and what are the differences? We will spend the afternoon investigating the Dharma as expressed through all these forms of the Buddha, and importantly, how they enrich our spiritual experience.

Rev. Kurt Rye is resident minister of Placer Buddhist Church.

Presented by the SFVHBT Buddhist Education Committee. Everyone is welcome. Please RSVP by email or phone.
