1 pm Kieshiki Workshop II: Intro to Jodo Shinshu

This workshop presents an Introduction to Jodo Shinshu for all members who would like to receive a Buddhist name (homyo). Rev. Kodo Umezu (Bishop, Buddhist Churches of America) will perform the Kieshiki Service on June 11, 2017.

This name represents your commitment and aspiration to follow the path of Jodo Shinshu Buddhist teaching. If you wish to participate in this important but rarely-held service, you are required to attend two workshops (one session each):

Kieshiki Workshop I – Introduction to Buddhism
Kieshiki Workshop II – Introduction to Jodo Shinshu

Workshops I and II will repeat throughout February and March. Refer to the Calendar for dates and times, and make an appointment with the office if you wish to attend.
