For many years, MOCHITSUKI has been, and continues to be, one of temple’s major fundraising events. It is always a lot of WORK, but also a lot of FUN for the entire Sangha to gather and make delicious mochi together! In addition, many community members appreciate the opportunity to purchase our mochi for their holiday feasts. There are many tasks to do, so everyone’s help is appreciated!
5:00 AM – SET-UP EQUIPMENT
6:00 AM – STEAM RICE; ARRANGE & COVER TABLES
7:00 AM – PRODUCTION of KOMOCHI, ANMOCHI, OKASANE begins; COOL, WEIGH, PACKAGE, LABEL, SORT ORDERS
10:00 AM – SALES & CUSTOMER PICK-UP; CLEAN-UP!
