Seminar Topic: “The Buddhist Sangha”
This seminar will cover some of the Buddha’s greatest disciples who were often friends and family members. In the West, we sometimes have guru worship, but we will see how these monks and nuns were very real people with personalities and conflicts. Even the Buddha was still a very “real” person after his awakening at age 35.
General Buddhism intended for general audiences, yet resonates well with Shinran Shonin’s teachings.
Rev. Jon Turner will become a full-time Minister at Orange County Buddhist Church in September 2017. He has served as part-time Minister at OCBC since 2012.
